Having a best-of album released after only three full-albums in the US would probably be a subtle hint by the record company that the artist is not selling as much as they had in the past. In release-happy Japan though, where an artist normally releases an album a year, a best-of album can be a way for the musicians to take a break from this crazy cycle. I’m hoping for D-51’s case, the latter is true.
Simply titled “BEST OF D-51”, the album will hit record stores on 2/6/08 with a total of 15 tracks — a mixture of the duo’s singles (their latest, “Sepia”, an ending theme for the anime “BLUE DRAGON”, will be released on the same day) and their solo work.
